808 Bachata Advancement Crew is a group formed by Kyle Quintal and with it’s current members Abby Frazier, Carlo Barbasa, and Cristal Mortensen we are working on improving Hawaii’s Latin dance scene with workshops, Classes and performances. To date the group has been meeting up and practicing on our moves and style. Besides pulling our knowledge and working to raise the bar on our own Bachata skills, we have been developing content to teach workshops and private lessons.

808 Bachata Advancement is a division of Hawaii Salsa Info Production. Its main purpose was to fill the void of Bachata instruction on the Island. As I started with a Moderna Style and slowly switched into a fusion of Modernerna and Dominican Style, I have quickly seen the Bachata community in Hawaii reaching out for more content and understanding of Bachata. I have always wanted to be able to help and HSIP ( www.hawaiisalsainfo.com) gave me the start with promotions, then I formed 808 Bachata Advancement and things started to take off with the help of a great group of members/friends.

The company’s new focus is to develop and maintain progressive Bachata series of classes. This will come about with the help of my group, Linda Melodia and Luxe Hawaii. We always look forward to meeting new contact, business partners, and dancers in the near future.
